It’s Throwback Thursday, a little late, but still Thursday none the less. We thought it was about time to start doing a little weekly series to pay homage to the dope shit from yesteryear. Every Thursday from now on we’ll be putting up something from the past that we find worthy of the Throwback Thursday title. Might be a mixtape, might be a song, maybe just a video, whatever. This week we’re going with Curren$y’s Independence Day mixtape that really started it all. Spitta dropped this in early 2008, and it birthed the “month after month” series, which turned him into one of the hardest working emcees in the game that you see today. Even back in the Fly Society days, Spitta was still the same man as he is today. Nothing switched, and you’ll see when you peep this mixtape. The hardcore Jet fans should already have this, but for those who don’t y’all need to change that now.
