The Club Paradise tour hit a few select cities this year, but Drake fans can now rejoice as he has announced a full fledged tour to cover the U.S. & Europe. The American leg of the tour kicks off in Miami on February 14th while the European leg starts on March 24th in Dublin, Ireland.

Not much of a surprise here. As expected, Drake’s sophomore album Take Care lands the #1 spot on Billboard having moved 659,190 copies. This marks Drake’s second #1 debut as he improved upon his Thank Me Later numbers which came in at 447k in it’s first week in 2010. This marks the third highest first week debut in music this year, and the second highest Hip Hip first week this year only behind his boss Lil Wayne.

Hits Daily Double has already come through with the first week sales projections for one of the biggest releases of 2011. Take Care is currently estimated to move between 675-725k copies which would make it the third highest debut this year behind only Lady Gaga’s Born This Way & Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV.

Here’s some more footage of Drake chopping it up with VEVO. In this segment, Drake explains how “The Ride” is the only song on the album that is somewhat different from the rest. He also briefly touches on the overall conept of the album. Take Care is in stores today.
