Lupe Fiasco took to his Twitter moments ago to drop off this new record titled “Jonylah Forever”. This song is a tribute to Jonylah Watkins, a 6 month-old baby who was killed in Chicago after being shot 5 times. In Lupe’s words, “This is not a song, but a life“.

Lupe was on a radio show recently, and was asked about the Chicago hip-hop scene. Chief Keef was mentioned specifically, at which point Lupe said Chief keef scares him, and went on to elaborate as to why. Definitely worth a listen.

Welp, it’s Throwback Thursday. In honor of Lupe releasing his album cover for Food & Liquor II, we are posting one of our favorite tracks from the original Food & Liquor. This was Lupe’s debut studio album, and established him not only as an artist, but as a pillar of the conscious rap movement.

Yep, this is indeed the album cover. Leave it to Lupe to go this route, I’m sure there’s some “deeper meaning” or whatever. On the bright side, it’s still better than Wiz Khalifa’s cover. Album drops on September 25, pre-order here.
