Jay-Z was supposed to be on the original version of “Lay Up” off Meek Mill’s debut album, but the verse got scrapped cause Hov wasn’t happy with it. Here is the original version of the song which was just premiered on Power 99. This radio rip is pretty terrible, but hopefully we get the CDQ very soon.

The numbers are in, and Meek debuts at #2 on the charts behind Taylor Swift’s Red album, which is on top for the second straight week. 167k sold is less than the projected number, but it may be due in part to hurricane Sandy. Either way, solid debut for Meek, and an overall good project. If you haven’t already, cop that.
